Storytellers Workshops

These workshops are for any photography, video, design or other multimedia student and professional wanting to get on-the-field practical experience in capturing the stories of missions, missionaries and those they serve.

Deadline for application: May 1

Participants will learn how use their particular skills to impact the world in meaningful ways by working alongside experienced missionaries and multimedia specialists as well as assist the local ministries by working alongside them to create media that will help them tell their story in compelling and meaningful ways.

Besides being just another workshop, these are full-fledged mission trips where we will pray, worship and study together alongside local believers. It is an opportunity for spiritual, professional and personal growth.

Because we work alongside local ministries, when a CrossRoads Missions team leaves a mission field, ministering the Gospel does not.

Workshop facilitators will be announced by early February.

About the ministries involved.

Diamond WillowDiamond Willow Ministries

www.d-w-m.org

God has worked in wonderful ways to bring together our varied group of individuals, who are compelled to love and serve here with our unique talents. We are comprised of Dakota, Lakota, and non-Indians, most of whom work and live here on the Crow Creek Reservation. We however, are only one part of the DWM team. The great things happening here are also the result of those from around the world who see the need, share the vision, and contribute through giving financially and through prayer.

DWM is not a part of any denominational system, but it is associated with and supported by independent congregations which are generally called Christian Churches or Churches of Christ. These churches call all Christians to unite behind the practices and teachings of the church described in the New Testament as a means of more effectively evangelizing the world.

Mision Caribe are glorifying God in Honduras by planting seeds and growing them in faith, love and service to touch a hurting world. Mision Caribe exists to teach the Gospel and to help meet the physical needs of the people of Honduras. We also provide spiritual and physical nourishment to our brothers and sisters. For years, God has allowed us to meet those needs through the churches in the communities in which we work. We are actively training and equipping leaders of the church to serve in the Christian ministry by teaching classes and holding seminars.

In addition to fulfilling spiritual needs, we meet the physical demands of hunger, clothing, and housing for the poor in Honduras.  We have established feeding programs, organized teams to build homes and other construction needs, and have many other ministries that allow us to be active with youth and show love to our community.

CrossRoads Missions combines the biblical principles of worship, service and discipleship by being a doorway for churches and individuals seeking ministry opportunities in places they may otherwise have difficulty serving. CrossRoads Missions has been accomplishing this goal by bringing people of all ages into missions in the United States and foreign fields since 1993. These experiences greatly challenge those who participate to consider deeper involvement in ministry in both the world and their own communities.

Mission teams who participate with CrossRoads Missions are involved in multipleareas of ministry including: construction, medical missions, education, discipleship, evangelism, worship, and disaster relief. CrossRoads Missions enhances existing local ministries, supporting them with additional resources they may be unable to provide. CrossRoads Missions achieves its highest level of effectiveness by working alongside of these ministries. When a CrossRoadsMissions team leaves a mission field, ministering the Gospel does not. We are engaged in ministry, mission and service in Cincinnati, OH, Louisville, KY, Appalachia Kentucky, Piedras Negras, Mexico, Inner City – Louisville and in the New Orleans, LA area.
